I've got these (well, Maxxis M&S) all round on my '98 SWB in 235/75R15 flavour. I can't really say how good they are off road - I've only subjected that to a spot of 'laneing and they were more than adequate - on the road though, they're great - plenty of grip wet or dry, seem to wear well...

Are you sure it's not an airlock in the fuel lines? Mine was running perfectly, and then on Saturday just would not start. It turned out to be an airlock - prime the fuel system using the pump on top of the filter body as per the handbook. Dale

Panic over! By some amazing coincidence, there was an airlock in the diesel lines...

I had the stereo running for a few hours without the engine running and flattened the battery. Now it won't fire up with a jump start. Turns over fine, but won't fire up, and was starting and running perfectly beforehand. I'm completely stumped, and need the car tomorrow! Any ideas?

Just reading this thread, would knackered lock stops be the likely cause of the nasty graunching noise I occasionally get when on full lock dropping off a kerb or conquering a camber change?
