where can i buy steering stops....all the web sites i visit dont seem to list them....or are they under a differant name

you should be able to get them from your local nissan dealer they aren't expensive i cant remember what i paid over here, but it wasnt worth talking about, so my guess its cheaper there

The only place I know of is a Nissan stealer  about £3 each & you'll need 4. nime have lasted 1&1/2 years & they are almost shot now so have just put a bigger dollop of grease on them & all is quiet

Give our Nissan man a ring at Hammonds Nissan Suffolk,

Ask for Mark in parts.

never bothered replacing them just put a dollop of grease when needed.much cheaper and works just as good.

I tried the grease only but as the ptfe/plastic bit was worn through it seemed that the grease was displaced after a few contacts

hi. thanks for all your replies....trying to get spares hear is a nghtmare...have just replaced 2 rear brake cylinders 50€ each inc discount......have cut 2 pices of 30mm.black plastic water pipe and fitted it over the tong of the stop..packed with grease...hey-presto works great..thanks once again yorkieboy

Just reading this thread, would knackered lock stops be the likely cause of the nasty graunching noise I occasionally get when on full lock dropping off a kerb or conquering a camber change?
