I have a feeling the fuel maybe the main issue of the vehicle not revving up fully and farting about. Would make sense to drain tank and do fuel lines and filter first before ripping the electronic side of it apart.

my friends oil tank has a glass/plastic tube on it with a ball which floats. I always worry that the clumsy fool will catch the tube and rip it out. He hasnt yet so i guess theres still plenty of time!:doh
