ok guys, whats the biggest battery that can be fitted with out modification onto a terrano II 3.0 2003
the battery fitted to mine just seems tiny and there is pleanty of space left on the battery tray.
im sure that i have the correct battery fitted but if i need to replace it i would like to get the biggest that i can for future use (i.e. winch, more lights etc etc)

I have the biggest you can fit on my work motor, can pick em up off the shelf here and it was not dear, give you details later, got to work tomorrow but will start your motor Monday, Rick

Remember to check that the live terminal will be on the RHS of the vehicle? I bought a battery listed as a 'direct replacement' and the terminals were the opposite way round when I went to fit it. . . . . the battery itself fitted just fine, but it was a PITA re-routing the cables as there's so little play

I fitted one from my local motor factor which they said was a direct replacement, battery fitted in tray no problem but positive lead ( well one on the left) would not stretch far enough. I removed expansion bottle to reroute but wasnt worth the hassle and took it back and got a slightly smaller one that was listed.

Nooooooooooooooooooo Pete you have a start battery, as long as you do not ever discharge it to 50% more than once it will be fine, Rick

Ha , evening Rick :lol
I'm sure I have flattened it many times :augie
However I will be getting a new "starter" battery when MOT time comes :thumbs
