I've been trying to find out if the boxes are interchangeable or not but I'm hitting a brick wall. Best price I can find on a recon box is £500 plus Vat exchange :eek:but I might just have to bite the bullet rather than risk an unknown ebay box that might be no better than what I already have...

I think you may be right. Either a heavier oil or some other additive but it came very cheap - 1600 quid for a 54 plate so I was waiting for the catch - I guess I found it.

Well I've picked up some Molyslip gearbox treatment and 6 litres of Comma 80w90 GL4. I've cut a couple of metres of garden Hose and nicked one of the wife's funnels from the kitchen. Apart from dry weather is there anything else I need to do the gearbox and transfer box oils?

A quick point: If the needle stops on a rest (peg), you need to gently lift the needle over the rest to allow it to stop in it's "relaxed" position. Mark this position, replace the need in the same position and then lift it back over the needle rest otherwise you end up with an inaccurate...
