Sounds like the thermostat was stuck in the closed position. That would explain the build up of pressure and high temperature reading as the coolant wasnt circulating

Ive got tubes in my rears with Amazon mud tyres 80 / 20 never had a problem. i go to a local 4x4 tyre fitter and he supplies them for £20 fitted the bloke is on ebay,user name is lr90gmc
