Why not see if you can swap it for something sensible ? Check Ebay motors for "no swap swops". ("swops" is often included to attract the attention of the illiterate masses who do not realise or care that while phonetically correct, spelling the word swap in this way is just wrong).

looking at the lubrication circuit diagrams, there are a couple of releif valves, anyone ever had problems with them ?

sounds just like mine after I changed the filter. Won't be anything to do with the wire. Most likely air in the system. Replaced the jubilee clips on the flexible fuel lines to and from the filter, and cut one line back a bit, and that sorted out out.

try these for manual hubs allan, www.ks-international.com I think they're the cheapest, and if you tell him you're a member on here he might give you a bit of a discount.

looking at your phots on my phone so not very clear, but you seem to be missing the brake ring from the autohub. Have a look in the manual, the workshop download, and the parts manual at nissan4u and you should be able to work out what, if anything, is missing. Good luck !

the turbo's are a different shape, although I know some on here have done it.

the turbo blows air through that pipe, if the turbo's internal seals are gone it'll be blowing oil too. Clean it all up and refit it, it'll probably be ok for a bit then start leaking again when the oil builds up

mine's about the same, but I still have to declare 6 points, even though they aren't on my licence any more.

My cheapo front ones lasted 2 months, the metal was ok but all the rubber was knackered. Just waiting for makeitfit to pipe up......
