Neither the pump or the injectors are coded to the ECU, you could try another injector to rule it out but be aware there are 2 different types, I think it depends what system you have either Bosch or Zexel.

The needle lift sensor is built into the No. 1 nozzle. Its inductive pickup element senses fuel injection timing. It is sent as a pulse signal to the ECM for feed-back the actual fuel injection timing and calculating the secondary engine speed.

Sounds like the radiator is doing its job, hot water from open stat in through top hose, cooled by rad and back in to engine via bottom hose. Bottom hose should be warm not hot as top.

Wouldn't think it would be the door courtasey light switches as these just make an earth conection any short on the wiring to them would just keep the light on and not blow a fuse.

What about your reversing light is that working?

Well that’s funny, I have tried a variable resistor in place of the coolant sensor to create more fuel, but find the timing the problem as the ecu alters the timing for engine temperature so the needle lift sensor wire must be to alter the timing to make proper use of the extra fuel when hot...

If that’s the one in your avatar, it should be a TD (1993 to mid 1996)

Being a 2.7td Adz, and not a 2.7tdi you wont have a MAF (mass air flow sensor)

Been a bit heavy handed by the sound of it bush craft. If the joint was previously soldered then it will pay to solder it again..
