Good point actually - water pump belt OK? Tight and not slipping?

I would start by replacing the thermostat :thumb2

Sounds like the radiator is doing its job, hot water from open stat in through top hose, cooled by rad and back in to engine via bottom hose. Bottom hose should be warm not hot as top.

hi all

thanks for the replys, symtems are the top hose hot and the bottom hose not even warm to touch, noticed the belt very slack its was on full adjustment, dont supose this will help, back flushed the rad, also blew the heater pipes thru as well just the water system had pressurised if the belt was slipping would this cause this problem as not to pump the water fast enough to open the thermostate so the pressure just bills up

fit new belt and tension correctly first, then give it a run and check hoses again
