Have to say, after looking at Autotrader for this part, a few nice specimens. 3.0 CRD Overlands, 79k - 125k FSH at what seems a reasonable price, very highly spec'd and good overall condition...... Very tempting indeed..... I know...heresy......but got to be pragmatic about T2's.....:nenau

Oh yes, what a place absolutely brilliant. I checked out the filter replacement download, and reminded myself of the task.....:thumb2 I have ordered a new pollen filter anyway, no harm for the price. I think I may well remove the glove box anyway, to make better access to the resistor, and...

Given that I changed the pollen filter about 2 years or so ago, I imagine it could bear checking. I will check, but I think there is a download for that job, as I don't have a clear memory of that job.......:nenau:doh

Jim, Thank you again for the sound advice, I will endeavour to effect a permanent fix, rather than a temporary solder job. It is a pain, not having any cover to work under, I do miss having the barn......:doh

This thread must have a darkly mystical aura about it...... 2 days ago my heater fan control switch decided to die, or at least to operate on nothing from 1 - 3, but at least operates on 4 full blast......:bow So it's console out, and repairs, if possible to the controls, and while I'm there...
