Well tomorrow the festivities will be over and I’ll be straight back to our local health establishment. I have had to make the biggest decision of my life which will be life changing but give me the very best chances of life. I have had support from some amazing people and I’ll never forget the support and caring that people have given. This is going to be the hardest few months of my life and I hope they will never be repeated.

The greatest of good luck Jim, got everyone behind you here mate...stay strong...:thumb2 :thumb2 :thumb2

You do not need luck Jim, you just need to stay focused on beating this thing, your body created it, your body can defeat it, Rick

Hopefully they’ll give me a date for the operation tomorrow. I’m not afraid of the operation or the pain after the operation as I know I’ll get amazing care. The part that really scares me is living with the changes afterwards, before anyone cracks a joke nothing to do with gender but trust me humour helps a lot.

I hope the day goes well for you and the anxiety of waiting is lifted. :thumbs

You have got this Jim :thumb2
Keep at it mate you have the strength to beat this and live on cancer free ;)
Hope you get the answers you want today.

All the best mate for the new year.

Before Christmas we saw our Grandchildren identical twin boys who were born as a result of T.T.T.S. in the womb where one steals the other blood supply.(Born at Alderhay Hospital)

Morgan the quadraplegic twin is now 14 years old he was not expected to live into double figures, his brother James is doing really well considering his arrested development. James can talk, walk, run and knows every make of 4x4 we have owned.

If they can survive T.T.T.S. with a tangible quality of life I am sure you will survive albeit with a change in the plumbing department.

All the best with the NHS Jim they are brilliant.

Decision has been made now just waiting for the onslaught of appointments to start on the run up to the op. I’ll be off line for a few days but apparently I’ll be so drugged up I won’t notice.

Don't worry about us Jim. We'll be here waiting for an update when you're ready :thumbs

Fingers crossed for you Jim.
Keep your head held high and you will beat this:thumb2

Looks like I’ve got a month now before the op so between appointments I’m going to start going places and doing things for me.

I’ve got one Terrano to get MOTd and some jobs around the house and hopefully a short break with my wife. I think this month is going to fly by very quickly.

Now that the decision has been made I’m feeling a bit calmer now, no doubt I’ll get nervous towards the op but once I’m under the anesthetic I won’t really know much about it all for a few days.

Looking forward to the end of the festive break when my family return to normality of work and so on so that I can get back into a routine.

Have to say my bit, if half the money spent on discovering Higgs Bosun via the Hadron Colider in Cern Switzerland then Cancer would have been sorted by now, our priorities are wrong, that is it said it all, Rick
