Ok last time wasn't a booming success but a good night out was had by those few who turned up - so lets try again.

Looking for suggestions of where to meet and when, i'll kick off with one.


2nd Tuesday in the month is Jap Car night at Squires - how about we turn up with a few Jap Trucks - could even invite some Mitsi and Yota owners to come along too - (not suggesting tonight btw but we have a months notice if this one has legs.

Ok - I've started promoting this elsewhere (mudclub), if people use other 4x4 forums can they do so on those too please but leave a post here to let others know where there are already posts.

Fir those that have never heard of it Squires is the legendary motorcycle place near Sherburn in Elmet (1 junctuion North on the A1 form the M62 interchange), they moved a few years back to a location outsid the villae and now have a lot more space including a big car park and a number of car get togethers go there. Wednesday night is still THE bike night along with sundays but rest of the time theres other stuff going on.

jap car night is the 1st tues of every month, im in a club called japtorque and went with the evo.
i still go every month with the nav (it is jap lol) and no one bothers about it all are welcome. it does get very busy in the nicer months but there is additional parking over the road in a field. if you want to park in the main carpark you have to be there no later than 6.30ish
people come to see cars so tooled up 4x4's would still probably be interesting to them.
some of the power rangers arnt too keen on the cars being there as it is predominantly a bikers cafe but its always a good atmosphere and a good chance for a chinwag over a coffee and a pastie :thumb2

Must have changed then, Alison went a few times with the Scooby and I found a few references on the net to it 2nd tues too but no worries.

Not sure I can do 1st tues. Have things 1st Mon and Wed already.

there are a few nights that specific clubs hold a meet there i dont know what nights but i do know that the scooby lot do hold a meet as do the guys with fto's. but the first tues seems to be the main night for non specific jap cars (altho a few of the chaved up boom boom corsa boys put in an apperance this month:lol) never been on the second tues so couldn't say for sure that there isnt a meet then too :nenau

how about a run from say huddersfield , through holmfirth , into dunford bridge , then into glossop , stop for a brew , then back through mottram moor , over the moor , back into holmfirth hudds etc ?

I would love to go to the Squires meet. Just a tad too far for an evening jolly but would definitely be interested if on leave or a weekend meet. (use a caravan site regularly just the other side of York at Moor Monkton)

Always happy to visit that area, lived just around the corner for a few years at Church Fenton. Fantastic part of the country :thumb2

Huddersfield is just too far, its nearly in the midlands!

Sounds like black top all the way - or am I wrong? Not for me I'm afraid.
