Think macro is still 85p per ltrs at moment

good prices re still out there if you look on svo

I should have said that I am across the pond in Ireland. There's good prices on nothing here :(
I know what an ibc is but whats "macro".

ah right,

if best get a bigger funnel then

when delivered thay get lifted off the lorry?

Pump it out with hand pump ,no leccy req.

but need to be somewhere safe or it will get swiped!!

On bottom there is a nice tap,but may settle out a bit and you may get bits, may have to run through a mesh filter if looks dodge

bio diesel costs about 15p per ltr to make, plus veg

just filter wvo and mix with diesel. or

if you want to use loads of the stuff twin tank it,so can run on 95% veg and start on diesel

Was paying 83p a litre for asda oil, you have to look for offers because the keep changing them. bri

Jez where can i get 1000 ltrs from then?? would keep me going for a few days that would...

i think we would all like to know where to get 1000 litres from at that price lol

how about the saturated (lardy) fats in solution? Surely they will thicken big time and leave deposits ??

Thats why you filter it when its settled, can buy the filters needed on fleabay

No. Filters and settling remove particles in suspension :thumb2

With a lot of wvo theyre in solution eg when you get it well used from chinese and chip shops.

The fats come out of solution when heated or chemically separated. If youre making bio, you separate them, if youre burning them direct with wvo they havent been removed prior to ignition.

Not sure what happens then :nenau its a lot thicker and gungier having already survived a traumatic life.

Ive been veging for 4 year,my mate has for 5.
He has done 100k on wvo i have done bout 45k.we do it the same way with no heating.

Settle out for a MONTH and the fats and water goes to bottom of tank leaving clean clear oil on the top.I can see this as the tank is almost clear.

Then filter off the top.

I filter to a low micron for testing for a supplier, but not alway needd to go as low as i do.

My samples were sent to a lab for testing, and gave great results.

A simple hot pan test can show signs of water in oil, heat up a pan and drop on some oil,if it spits then youhave water in it.

I also found the more passes you do on your filters the better the oil.
Yesterday i started the bongo and switched to veg staright away,it was fine and thats on almost 100% veg!
