Howdy all, was tired of my rear washer not spraying anymore so we decided to try and get it working again, first i removed the two screws holding in the washer bottle. Pop out the wiring and block connector on the washer bottle, and the bottom of the two red hoses just pop off too! Be prepared for the washer bottle to let the water out (incase you are inside) :thumb2

Then the whole washer bottle comes Away, which we cleaned :thumb2

Bear in mind I am not handy with tools this was a very easy job

We cleaned and reassembled, then we refilled with water/screen wash.

We could hear the motor working but still no water at the rear.

So we tried putting a pin in the rear washers, this did not work..

So we removed the 6 screws at the top of the door card and this is the result

Inside the tiny hole is an L shaped valve facing the nearside of the truck that the hose slides onto. We removed this and pressed the washer button to find a load of black sludge come out.

Then the missus with her tiny girl hands slid the pipe back on.

It still didn't work, so we removed the pipe again and forced wd40 through the squirter and sure enough, more black sludge came out.

Be warned though my hands are too big to fit in there! Luckily the missus saved the day :D

Yeah and there was also some kind of non return valve on the ns think it was down the side of the body in the boot area. Good call tho letting the mrs face all the black sludge

I drilled my one, just takes a little longer to wet the screen

The other plug is for another pump that feeds the front light washers, where fitted.

Looking at the first picture, you will notice to the right of the windscreen pump, there is a recess where the other pump fits :)

*drumroll*

Couldn't you use this for the old inter cooler mod then? Standard parts, direct fit.. :nenau

The smell of warm screen wash

Always needing to fill.

What about direct water injection to help clean engine?

Think you will find there is only power to this washer circuit when the lights are on & the W.Washer is operated. It will need a switch & rewire to get it to work independently.
Good idea though. Nothing is ever easy LOL.
