thanks for ideas Karl, tbh at that price for grabbers would ditch
my 760s and stick new at2s on my alloys as all rounders.

so seems choice is summer road 760s and some muds on steel
for winter/play, OR grabbers on my alloys.

seen tyresdirect.co.uk doing grabber at2s at £101 each plus 25
delivery.

not bad as 4x4tyres.com want 122.20 each. my prefered supplier
black circles isnt listing them, but i would ask if they could do a
special order as kindly got me 2 760s last time to make a good
set of 4 have now, previously.

bit wary of paying 85 for a mud remould vs above for a brilliant
at. if remould as steel rim were about 85 might be do able.

will keep looking, any thoughts on chains on h/t tyres, would it
take longer than swapping rim/tyre sets over.

how about just a pair of mud n rims for back end, along with
locker, toyed with idea before on t2, then traded it in lol.

oh and can get cooper stt muds, not remoulds at 125 each
about only new carcass in my size can find as a new mud.

at that price though be scrapping or storing the 760s
less cam get cheap rims

tbh mate i would look at the technic tracker ii if you are thinking of just using them in winter

they are cheap but they are a good tyre tread think i paid £35 for the one i had befor i realised you needed to fit them in pairs

What i like about there web site is that its live update :thumbs
You know what?
It's not that live!

I'd already been let down twice by another supplier.
I tried Camskill because I'd heard recommendations on forums. Ordered last weekend & was dead chuffed - till I got an email on Monday saying they couldn't supply them. Phoned straight away, spoke to them and ordered tyres they 'definitely had in stock'. Guess what? Another email the next day to say they couldn't supply those either..... Asked about several others that were available on the website... Then gave up & went elsewhere!
Not complaining, I'm sure that they've had a huge run on non road biased tyres in the last week. As everywhere appears to have.
Maybe frequently updated..... but definitely not live!!

No they dont & if you go on other websites or visit your local theyll be out of stock too  :(

local guy I get most of my tyres from actually said due to local suppliers running out best go on line and then he'll fit them for me :D

Thats my worry about the people Ive bought mine from, fingers crossed though.

Theyve processed the order and got payment and last email said i would receive an email within 24hrs re despatch details which advertises 2-3 days delivery time.

Lets see what happens, distance selling regs and claiming in stock I reckon I can cancel imediatley if Im not happy

getting seriously drawn towards those cooper stt tyres

read spec on their site, like fact the theres a rim protector
like the grabber at2.

question though they are are rated at Q upto 99mph, patrol
suggest 111S, would this upset insurance.

Speed wise rarely do more than indicated 65 solo or towing.
Would they be much noiser at these sorts of speeds than
the AT2s and for sake of laning once a quarter and this
artic weather would they be overkill again against an AT.

Other thoughts the long way down trolls ran AT, ok by BFG.
and most of my backyard Derbyshire lanes are more rock
than deep mud and never been stuck with either truck on
the lanes?

I think the only deciding factor for you is price :nenau

The Grabbers are a superb A/T tyre & getting if not already got a ruddy good name. :thumbs
Cooper are a good tyre in general & i dont think it would be over kill  just work better in mud & snow :thumbs

Unless anybody on here has used both to compare for you :nenau

i have bridgestone duellers h/t tyres on , ... last night i was a " designated driver " and had to take 6 people to a club near emley moor ... as you can imagine the snow was quite deep , and the roads had compacted snow on too , which had frozen ..... my mistral coped very well , didnt slide once , and i didnt lose any grip , ok i had to use 4h in some parts .....very chuffed :thumb2

any thoughts on cooper st, seem like stt's slightly toned done.

think described as at heading to mt?

not sure sure on their rating after all grabber at2 list as a 5 -6
out of 10 been aggressive mud on some sites.

decisions decisions.

Just to throw a spanner in the works :doh

Look at these :augie

KL71's might be a very good option :sly :naughty :D
Plenty of us on here with them now & i've put over 20000 miles on mine now & the rears look barely warn :thumbs

The terrano failed the mot today on 3 tyres and a few other things , i currently have girlie 175/60/r 15s fitted , will i be able to fit 235s straight on or will i need a wheel spacer etc , also will the 235s rub the wheel arch if fitted straight on ?.

175/60R15 is well under size

235/75R15 are the standard & will go straight on :thumbs

175/60/15 ? Really ? Jeez your speedo must be about 30mph out at a standstill. That would give you a rolling circumference of 1857mm. Don't know what the standard size on a TDi is, maybe stamped inside the door ?

237/75/15 will be 2305 circumference .

Please please please post a photo of your truck before you change the tyres, mine looks a bit daft with 195/80/15 on the front and 215/75/15 on the back, yours must look bluddy ridiculous. Side, front and rear please.

Thaks lads , i will get the camera out and take a few pics , it dont look weird it looks quite normal in my opinion lol .

A set of 235/75s on that will give it an instant 2" lift ! (In my profile photo it has 235s on)

I'd get a matching set if i was you asap or you could... will do some damage when engaging 4WD

Re: Same Tires on 4x4 Vehicles Required?
If all 4 tires are the same size...Its doesn't matter what brand, model, make, yada yada yada.. Now if they were different sizes, then you would hurt the transfer case, not the trans. However, that would be an expensive fix also. But, like I say if the tires are all the same size, then your good.
I've been a mechanic (backyard) for almost 20 years now, and I'm big into the offroad world.

215 75 15 = overall diameter of 703.5 mm
195 80 15 = overall diameter of 693.0 mm

So that's 11.5mm difference in diameter, or 36mm in circumference. It's not going to hurt anything and would only matter in 4WD.
