215 75 15 = overall diameter of 703.5 mm
195 80 15 = overall diameter of 693.0 mm

So that's 11.5mm difference in diameter, or 36mm in circumference. It's not going to hurt anything and would only matter in 4WD.

I reckon youre right. Isnt it different sizes across an axle that screws things up??????

Apart from being illeagal, having different sizes on the same axel would have the same effect on the diff as turning a corner - that's what the diff is for!! this would cause a big problem if you have difflock engaged.

I made a total boo boo , the tyres are 235s 70 16s :thumb2 so they are the correct tyre the reason why i must have been suggesting the other size is either the drink or the fact the wifes car had new tyres recently and i still had them on my brain :D

I have been and phoned every tyre garage in south wales today and i think i can say there is a tyre shortage and the reasons why is you lot ooop north are panicking over a few snow flakes :D

I know........was a tongue in cheek comment. I cant work out mechanically (or lawfully) what difference different sizes front to rear would make in the context of that blokes post from the other forum :thumb2

33x12.50r15 Kumho KL71's

My final verdict as the fronts are now getting low although still have a good 10mm tread left. (the rears barely worn)

As said in my previous post

Bloody awesome :D

Only let down is in real sticky mud :( but does any tyre really do well in real sticky mud :nenau

My options now

Try & hunt down 2 33x12.50r15 KL71's ( near impossible :( )

Go for Maxxis Buckshots 33x12.50r15 @ £367 to my door

Or :naughty

Maxxis Buckshots 35x12.50r15 @ £434 to my door

Your thoughts

I recon you can get better prices - but given the selection above BFG AT would be my first choice :thumb2

The only logical move is to 35s :naughty
Diff clearance is all:rolleyes:
As you've already cut the front the back will be a doddle, and a little extra gearing for the motorway too ;)
I'm going 35s next as you know:splif

ATs wont hack it when we're a playing:lol
Just look at the difference between us on KL71s and the disco and pajero last weekend. They both were spinning around for grip:doh

are the m/t over rated then ?

thinking about upping mine this year to 33's

i see loads of bfg mt copies arround so would guess they would be no better than the bf i have

i was thinking more along the lines of geolander mt+ copies as these are a lot cheaper then the yoko's
