How much, where from , etc etc ? They look like Kingpin Advantages : http://www.formula4x4.co.uk/shop/images/8169

Kingpin are dead cheap and seem to have a poor reputation, according to all the googling I've done. Whereas very few people had a bad word for Insa turbo tyres.

I ordered online first from 4x4tyres - who then called to say they had no stock; then online from Camskill - who then called to say they had no stock. Neither had similar tread/price tyres in stock either. I guess it's been a busy few days for them!
I also phoned a couple of local tyre places who said they were struggling to get stock of winter and off road tyres due to demand.
Then I phoned John Craddock http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk who seem to have loads of stuff in stock. £56 each plus vat.

Kingpin have been making remoulds for at least 30 years, so I reckon they know what they're doing. I think everyone's raving about Insa because they're the latest 'thing', and it's not the rangers they're raving about anyway, its the sepcial tracks all the off road boys love. You could have saved yourself £20 a tyre buying kingpins instead of Insas. If craddocks can't supply you might want to try here : http://www.formula4x4.co.uk/shop/kingpin-and-advantage-all-terrain-/

I had Kingpin advantages on my t2 before I changed to the current Camac Terras, never had any problems with them apart from in some very soft and deep mud. Got a pair of Kingpin Trackers in reserve just in case I get sent anywhere really boggy.

Really glad you're pleased with them slim, the Camac mud tyres I put on as replacements are working a treat in all this snow ! I've just got some Kingpin tracker mud terrain's for the rear, might put them on in a bit and go out for a play .......

My conclusion too with regards to those brands :thumbs

BL/Austin Rover existed in various forms from 1968 to 2005 but I dont want an Allegro ;):D

ive got round black rubber tyres on my mistral :naughty

i had a kingpin on my mav never had a fault with it

its the same as anything thats been arround a long time you will get mised views but with new boys they tend to be quiet for a while

kingpins are cheap but thats what remolds are supposed to be cheap

at the end of the day you can pick up branded new tyres for £50 £60 each if you are happy to haggle

as a test as i need to pick up a new one any way who do a copy of the geolander m+s plus tread in remold ? and i will put it against a new yoko

got maxxis 760s on troll, do very well for a road or ht pattern.

fancy something more aggresive in this white stuff,

would plan for at2s but so much life in 760s dont want to bin

thinking towards 2nd set h/d muds, seen some recip trials

not many muds in 265/70x16. not sure who they are.

seem totally directional like posh tractor tyres! any suggestions

thinking as second play set might not be as much as mr generals
finest.

Well i am really peed off that it seems to be so hard to get the bigger off road tyres & i think the KL71's are an awesome tyre & will be getting them for the Pajero in 205/70R15

As for Dirty Frog i'm going to have to get Maxxis Buckshot Mudders  as its the only 33" that seems to be in stock every where
