My blipper has never worked, but it does work with the key....

Have u locked and unlocked with key then tried to start the car what about checking for voltage when cranking at that soliond what about turning the key very slowly

Sooo. Now what?
Is it a visit to the stealers?
I wad thinking of calling the AA and telling them my car wont start...only thing is if they cant get it going they will probably want to tow it to a garage...

Tried with no joy....

Can u get to the soliond and put a wire down to it from battery +ve and c if u can hear it click better still take off wire by undoing not put this made up wire on and get some1 to try and start it with u connecting the other end to +ve terminal it should start then well hopefully to stop engine just release said wire from +ve terminal good luck

I have to say I had considered doing that but was scared I would bugger it up...if I did that and it started what would we conclude fron that outcome and what would I need to do to then fix it properly?

If and at the mo its a big if it does start it means what u did to breather has not caused any real problem but u had an underlying problem before with either immobiliser or actual stop soliond

If I had a problem with either of them I wasnt aware if it...
I will try connect it in the morning and let you know what happens...
If...and as you say IF it works would it be worth rigging it up on a switch so I can use it almost like a fuel on and off switch, cos I guess if its left live direct to the battery it will just drain it?
I have to say I do really hope it runs...u am really desperate to sort it now....

Been looking at the download manual and apparently there is a 20amp fuse linked with this cut off solonoid....any ideas where it may be?

It's prob in the fuse/relay box under the bonnet:thumb2

right....todays update...

i checked the connector at the top of the engine block, according to the download manual and there is power where it should be, i then noticed there are two wires that go to the solonoid; a black/ white wire that is fastened to the top with a little nut and an orange coloured wire that seems to go inside the back of the pump (which i cant even get too)

The connector at the top of the engine is live but because i cant get to it i cant check if it is live going into the solonoid

I really dont know what to do.....i am getting more and more desperate and i dont know any mechanics to take it too....

A quick update...

This morning having read the download manual over and over i had a few things to check.

I also disconnected a few electrical connections and sprayed with WD40.
To my surprise when i had almost packed up and thrown the towel in it fired up...

I have to be honest i have no idea what i have done to fix it....but its working again to i arent knocking it.

I would like to say a massive thank you for all your help and advice :clap

so what ya sayin is,,,,,the truck just wanted a rest after you nearly blew the engine up :lol :lol

Yes I think you may be right...it was its way of sticking its fingers up at me....lol

Either your truck is a born again LR:lol or the WD40 has poss cleaned up a dirty connector but pleased to hear it's running again:thumb2

Hi all, can anyone offer me some advice please?

I have noticed lately that sometimes when i start my truck from cold i get a small cloud of smoke.
Also when i boot it (when warm) i notice a cloud of smoke.

Today when i was under the bonnet i noticed the turbo looked very oily, especially the rubber connecting hose from the turbo to the intercooler, that is actually blue....

Can anyone tell me whether the turbo is on its way out?
Is it a big job to remove and replace?
What sort of cost am i looking at for new/ refurbished?

Any help is much appreciated

Below are some pics of the turbo etc

Looking at the pics, the union on the top of the turbo which connects the oil pipe is wet. That would be my first port of call. Undo it and replace the washers.
