You can get ones that emit the same brightness but use less power so they are 55 watt.

I agree with Mowerman, tried all sorts of bulbs in my T2 including 100w versions but Osram Nightbreakers are the best by far (and I've fitted them in my Honda Jazz too), and they're legal (my local MOT tester told me a couple of years ago they don't check headlight wattage, only the alignment, so if you go for the 100w bulbs it's only the consequences if you should have the misfortune to have them checked by the old bill that you have to worry about).I recently changed over to nightbreakers too.... I would say almost twice as bright as the old ones... they were about £14 delivered from e bay :thumb2
