The E900 Argument

I've been doing a bit of research and from what I've found, it's harmless!!!

E900 is referred to as PDMS or Polydimethylsiloxane

Looking at the EP 2384645 A1 - Process for preparing a frying oil Patent
If you look at section 0015, the quantities used are minute and is actually 10ppm to the weight of the overall oil

It's surprising what it's actually used for!!!! It's also used in Hydraulic Fluids as an Anti Foaming Agent and can also be found in the Comma LSD Oil that we top our Mavericks and Terrano's with :thumb2

and whwn I went to fill up on fuel last week ktc which has e900 was £15.99 for 20l and. All the rapeseed oil in there in 20l tins also had e900 but were £19 for 20l can u guess which I went for at just under 80p a litre was rude not 2

Ive used the ktc for the past 3 years, some 3000 plus liters. Had not problems

If it's that soya stuff it's crap, I'd be trying to stick with rapeseed.

I have to disagree there as well mate, I've been using the Soya stuff and not seen any differences in performance, there are rumors that the Soya stuff causes ring gumming however there is no evidence to support this.

My car purrs like a cat on the Soya :thumbs

all I know is a few people tried it and it run like kack. Rapeseed was fine however.

Mine is horrendous on ktc, it farts and splutters. It loves "consumer pride" rape tho

that still has the E900 I think
