I have finished cleaning the tank....



Had to take off supporting brackets - drill the spot seams out - these seen better days....




Hole in the tank....

NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had this vision in my head of nice tank restoration.Bough some zinc primer and underseal.... but....there isn't much to work with anymore.....looking for a replacement...NOT HAPPY!!!!

Need a break from that...

Keep telling myself that....well It's not even the money I need to spend on new tank. It's the fact that I really wanted to nicely restore the tank....

your tank if it is any consolation is in good nick as they go most I have seen the seem has expanded 10mm at least, yours is better than that, as for the rest you have done are you planing to keep it on the road for another 40 years cos that is how I see it, well done mate keep it up, Rick

Maybe not 40 but who knows..
If I do something It has to be right. I have done few projects in the past including fantastic 200sx but this so far is the biggest build ever. I guess It goes further now as my experience and abilities have grown.

They look like -32 or -35 I'm keen to know too but they are on ebay martyn, £299 with wide offset Dmods. I'm going to get some as the ones I have don't look right.

Thanks all. Will need luck as finding a place in Derby is a miracle. Over a week now and nothing suitable...search continues.
As for the wheels think they are -25 but will have to check, can't remember.

Thanks. Wheels and tyres is probably next on wish list so good to see what a certain size looks like on a patrol before buying.
