Been a while since i updated this project but I've been using this motor since July of this year.
Have to say it's been a pretty eventful couple of months of motoring :lol:lol
First proper outing was a trip to mid wales at the end of July.

All was well until the return fuel line decided to spring a leak.
Managed to sort that but when we went off to do a bit of laning i found the transfer box and front diff to be F****d:eek:
Now i had only put it into 4wd briefly on the drive to make sure it went in and out after swapping out a knackered transfer lever.
No matter, i drove the routes in 2wd with no issues.:thumb2

Had a holiday in the lakes planned a couple of weeks after the Wales adventure so it was time to swap the front diff and transfer box.

Also swapped out the prop shafts from an earlier terrano and binned the cost cutting later junk that nissan fitted post 2001.

4wd restored and tested properly before the trip to the lakes:thumb2

The trip still wasn't without it's issues.
The drivers side torsion bar decided it no longer wanted to be attached to the lower wishbone and gave me that slammed suspension look that many a boy racer would kill for:lol
Luckily nothing was damaged so a campsite re fit sorted that out:thumb2
I can only put that down to me not fitting them back in correctly after swapping the transfer box 2 days before we went away.
Also still have a fuel leak but this is on the seam of the tank now.
Have yet to sort that but as long as i keep it below 1/2 a tank and park facing downhill it's still useable.
All in all it's done my head in the last couple of months:lol

Some more images of the project in full swing.

Lots of work been going on there Elty, shame about the torsion bar but guess you sorted that pronto, I have just this weekend changed the head on my injector pump for the 10mm plunger instead of the standard 9mm and wow what a difference, need to put it under load with a trailer on to evaluate it properly but so far it feels very good, Rick

Cheers Rick :thumb2
Yep Torsion bar was sorted no problems.
Have yet to sort the leak on the tank as I've been ill with covid and a kidney infection.
Starting to feel like myself again so will soon have it sorted.

Slowly working my way through the little niggles on this motor.
Had a major leak in the boot door which needed sorting asap.
Fitted a new seal on the tank access cover plate, adjusted the door on the hinges and sealed around the plastic trim to hopefully keep it at bay.
Also vinyl wrapped the rear door in black gloss to match the rest of the motor.
