Yeah it's no fun welding upside down.
Luckily i could get from the inside to weld up a fair bit of the arch.
 
Decided to set my little shot blaster up and have a go at cleaning up the rust on the chassis.
Does the job but is quite a slow process with my 50ltr compressor.

Managed to get one section in red oxide primer yesterday.

Bit more stripping of parts and i fitted the body lift blocks on the drivers side last night which gives me a bit better access to the chassis.

Did some more on the project yesterday afternoon and this afternoon.
Got some more of the chassis shot blasted and primed up.

Also had to remove what was left of the fuel tank mounting bolts as they had sheared off.
Welded a bit of round bar to what was left and wound them out with ease.

Odd that they sheared with such a long tail, most shear close to the captive nut, Rick

It looks like just the heads had sheared off the bolts.
This is how it came to me as the tank had already been removed.
Made it a simple job for me though which was a bonus :thumb2
