Well after promising the Mrs i wasn't taking on any more project motors i seem to have acquired a 3.0 ltr swb commercial known as the black curl from my good mate Banshee :lol:lol
This is going to be a joint project with my 15 year old daughter helping on the spanners.

First job is to get this sorted and out of the way .

Needs a bit of welding, some wiring work and a new swivel seal.
No doubt I will find plenty more as i move along it:lol

So with the recent electrical issues I've been having with my 2.7 lwb i decided to get my arse in gear and make a start on sorting out the 3.0 ltr commercial.
Nothing too major today.
Swapped the rotted tailgate for the good one i had down in the pikey parts dept.:thumbs

Would like to have sprayed it before fitting but I've got a guy coming to pick up the old rotted one for the glass so had no choice but to fit it.

Also cleaned up the surface rust on the inner wing and gave it a couple of coats of rust converter primer.

Been a while since I've done much to this motor.
Found a fair bit of welding to do in the rear and drivers side wheel arch.

Made a start on cleaning up and waxoling the front end.

Was too hot today to be stuck inside a car cutting and welding so that's all the progress I've made.

That will keep you busy for a while. :D

It's finding the time to really get stuck into it that seems to be the problem.
I had to move it back on the drive today so i could get the ladders up to the front of the house to clean the windows and guttering.
First time the cover has been off in months.
Just seemed a good idea to do a bit of work on the front end while it was accessible :thumb2

I know the feeling. What should have taken a couple of weeks is taken several months and the truck is in the way of the digger. Whilst waiting for parts I have lots to do around the garden but I can’t get my digger out as the truck is in the way. :doh

Nice work but I know how you feel, always something else takes priority, Rick

Had a couple of hours yesterday and this evening cleaning, prodding, cutting and welding on the project.
