I need a spare so I can order my lokka and build it up without having the truck off road for ages, then I'll just swap it on mates ramp on a Saturday morning

Are they all the same btw ? Assuming the ratio matches mine at 4.375:1

I did have one mate . I'll have a butchers later as I can't rember if I binned it with the scrap :augie

Chalk line on input, chalk line on outputs, turn input count turns of outputs as they turn together

Or visa versa etc

The correct way anyhow ;)

That wont work on front diff i tried that once i was told the only way to check was to open it up.Prob would work on rear

Yes, I counted the rear not the front. I did it when I was looking to get a new rear h233 axle instead of my c200 but never bothered

Front will be the same as rear

It should work on front anyway, why would t it ?

Its becuse its open diff maybe someway of doing it but simply turning input and counting output doesnt work

surely front will match rear, ratio wise as same sized tyres and not as if theres another
transfer box to adjust it on way upto to dog clutch.

You just have to make sure both output flanges turn at the same time

It's really that simple

Having uncovered many unfinished projects I'm pleased to announce the discovery of one T2 diff :D
No idea what ratio it is as although I can "see" it, I'm not going in there to count how often the end turns :lol
However it was for a MK2 TDi type :nenau £30 and I'll be travelling to Manchester in the week to flog a car so could pass somewhere close perhaps

Awesome mate, I'm just off junction 15 of the M6 can meet you somewhere but assume you will be using m6 ?
