That is quite cool, I've had blue LEDs in the boot, been meaning to change for ages but never got round to it.
Looks nice though :thumb2
Cheers boys, and I'm not sure yet Jim, going to suck it and see for a bit i think and see if it does hurt me bad on the fuel
It'll hurt on fuel but it'll hurt even more to get rid of it:thumb2
Sorn it and buy a cheap car to run around if it turns out to be too bad:thumbs
This sounds like a bloody good solution.Sorn it and buy a cheap car to run around if it turns out to be too bad
I'm thinking more something like this!!!!! Life's too short to drive something as dull as a new Fiesta

But am I right in thinking you want that for its speed and tuning capabilities? I can't imagine you chose it for looks.
All I'm thinking is you want to buy for economy but it's a big turbo diesel that prob shoots black smoke if tweaked up :thumb2
Something tells me that might appeal to you :naughty
My dad had one for years and not only did it have great fuel consumption, it never broke down and I do like the look of the 405, I love the 309 and the 205 as well, there's just something about that era :thumb2
I made my inner arch guards from 3mm thick rubber.bought a metre square sheet off of flea bay for about a tenner.:thumb2
I finally got around to Waxoyl'ing the Truck yesterday, took me about 4 hours all in including, wire brushing etc etc, used x2 2.5l Pressure Cans with the pressure lance which made light work of the job, I've done a fairly neat job and more importantly upon poking around in all the nooks and crannies I didn't find any rot :thumb2
I've also put to use the extension hose this time and sprayed into every hole in the chassis :clap
That should see it last a while I hope, all I need to do now is find some more plastic clips to get the arch innards back in and then make some bigger rubber trim for in side the arches as the originals keep falling out now as the 2" body lift has meant they have ripped off :doh
No rot that's great news, waxoyl should keep it that way.. Awesome, pretty crappy job though aye...
When I had an industrial a few years ago the guy next to me as part of his service used to spray the old engine oil he changed all over the bottom of the car, quite a common practise in days gone by. The best bit about it was he used to light a cig and smoke whilst doing it. Could you imagine some health and safety officers face nowadays seeing this. :lol:lol
My dad used to cal most/all of the holes in the chassis of his LR 110 and fill with a bit of old engine oil and would accelerate and break to slosh it up and down the chassis.
