Now all you have to do is fit it :lol
Bit of a tight squeeze - have fun.

Its the wrong one. Looking at the photos this one has left handed turning gear fitted, the one you need is right handed. If you fit this it will turn the engine the wrong way and could cause you to have 5 reverse gears and one forward.

It will fit, but its got the wrong turning gear on it. Maybe someone cocked up in the ebay listing.

Email the seller and ask him if it has bilatral fittings, if it has you can turn the gear round, its about a 2 hour job but can be done. There is a post on here of someone doing one. :thumbs

Very possibly, im not saying he did it on purpose, sometimes they dont open the box, just ship them out. :augie

Its easy to spot, if you look at the way the teeth are lined up, they sit the wrong way, if you match it up to your old one you should see it easy.:doh

Dont put them side by side though as the teeth on the old one will look the same but will be the wrong way round. You need to hold one on top of the other then match them up. Simples :clap

I'll try and see if it's the same, I. Can't see it being wrong way as all td engines spin the same way.

The engine spins the same way but the D21 had the starter on the other side :doh
As Kamsin said, get the old one out first and do the inversion test. It's on youtube not on this site though :thumbs

 how on earth can they say thats for your truck? i hope you have proof of purchase etc. shame you are so far away from them, see when i got one from there i took the old starter with me to collect the new one as its just down the road from me, shocking service, as kamsin said tho 2hr job to sort it out depending if the wiring inside is spooled the right way,
