Spring time Yorky dales trip

Does anyone fancy a days laning in the best of all the seasons, Spring, in the north Yorkshire dales ?
If so could we meet in the Macdonalds car park at Leeming bar services off the A1 near Bedale at 09.30 on Sunday 12th April 2009.

dabda can you or anyone one else reccomend any b&b's in that area as we are gonna come up on satdy and stop till sundy.
checked out a few places nearbyi'm sure i only put down 1 night not 1 week
the prices for one night were unreal.
have made some enquiries to a couple of b&b's near wenslydale that are a bit more like my price range.

might stay on the coast satdy then drove over in the morning.

95 quid for 2 adults and 3 kids.
looks very posh inside so i might need to lock the kids in the room while we have brekky.:lol:lol:

are there any lanes with restricted height as i will probably have the roof box on.

As far as Im aware in my minds eye I cant see any restrictions to height except possibly part of the Crackpot route which goes through low tree branch and thick bush. But as is becoming the norm with that part of the Crackpot route we can go around that bit no probs.

Oh and dont let the girls come without their 'cosmic wellies' mate.

12 th april

thinking of coming on the 12th aprilbut not sure wot i need to have on my t2 to cope with off-roading as not done much off-roading before any help?

my first outing with the club i had a standard t2 and it coped with every lane we did no problems.
had all terrain tyres on but that was it.
most guys that run the days out and work out the routes will know where you can and can't go and weather or not a standard truck will be o.k.
just got back from a run around the derbyshire dales today:thumbsgreat fun,no damage just a nice coating of the brown stuff.

If it was later in the year I might consider it May June if things are going.

Dales in April trip

Only one Nissan on the March trip, mine. The only Jap truck too.

Dont let them landy peeps think they are the only adventurous 4x4 users.
