I now have a t-max dual battery intelligent system in my hands.

I am thinking I should put in some big fuses.

Mainly between:

Main starter battery (+) ---- (250a Fuse?) ---------------------------->| Relay |
Aux battery (+) ------ (250a Fuse?) ---------------------------------->| Relay |

what do you guys think? When they are linked the system is capable of 180amp.

its not fair!

i want one..

but i got my heat exchanger where the battery can only fit..

And I can't have a second battery coz Direct Line say it's an unauthorised modification :(:(:(

Having big fuses is fine but what cable are you using?
What relays are you using?

I think they go by if it's not like it when bought new, it's a mod.

Whats the biggest caravan you have towed with the T2?

T2 !!!!!! It's a Maverick ;O)

Biggest van weighed 1900kg fully laden but wasn't ;O)

My van weighs 1650 kg and tows perfectly

Heaviest trailer I've towed weight around 2.5 tonne and towed out of Bexhill no probs.

Rick will tell you what those hills are like ;O)

I think I will only be fusing the cable from main battery to relay as the aux to relay will be very very short anyway.

This is what I have been doing today, Made a custom battery clamp as the one I bought was sh!te. Also Made a mount for the T-max controller and ran it's wires ready for relay etc. Also while I was there I have ran a 25a feed to the glove box to run my radio equipment.

Only using that battery as I had it for my vitara but never fit it, Need to save for a nice deep cycle battery next. I also still need some nuts to hold down the wing nuts.
