Lots of people say that but 99% of the time it is well worth returning a kid home after sometimes quite serious or life threatening problems. I don't linger on the other 1% of the time.

I sit in front of a pc all day on the phone selling car parts to the motor trade. Been doing it for about 9 years but at 2 different companies and as rbrt said about customers they never show gratitude or appreciation the 99% of the time things go right but moan like mad over the odd slow delivery etc.
The one major perk of the job though is the excellent staff discount scheme -groovy- that makes it worth the aggro.

Maybe. I work from Whiston Hosp covering all of St Helens area, a major part of Halton/widnes, and some of Knowsley - mostly the Whiston/Prescot area. I know the paed diabetes nurses up at Ormskirk (June & Leanne), can't recall if they cover your area as well, or if you have your own team? I know that the parent colleague who runs the st helens & halton childrens group (Lynne) has had some contact with the group in your area - she is a volunteer at the Diabetes UK office in Warrington and helps assist voluntary group set up. I also know the nurses down at Alder hey as well.

How old is your youngest now?

Yep, the very same June. I find her an extremely likeable lady - knowledgeable too. I'd heard she was retiring, wasn't sure if it had occured yet.

Hi Jonathon. Small world hey? Was telling hubby about this and apparently the wife of a bloke he works with is the diabetic nurse at Ormskirk??? He's going to find out her name, going back to June she really was/is a godsend. Cheers Angie
