I've not looked into it yet but I suspect the ECU may be tagged in somehow.
If a car was meant to have abs and then strangely didn't, it's technically an mot fail :(

I've always wondered about that

Where did the old saying go "if it ain't there they can't fail it"? I know i'd done that for some things but u can't even stick black tape over lights no more...Its gotta come on & go out with the ignition system :(

Not even as simple as that. Some cars have a test phase where abs light stays on for a bit, then out . Others just with ign. There's a list for the MOT examiner to check. So it's a bit more tricky to hot wire the abs light to the oil pressure light these days :augie

lol I think the standard is 10 secs after start up it should go out...on most anyway :augie

Aye thats the one mate. And it doesnt have Navara embossed on it.

Cheers Gav

I have abs. what has braking got to do with a snorkel?
I have the t2 and just brought the above snorkel.
Its about as close your going to get for a shelf brought one. it may take a bit of fiddling and a bit of adapting but unless you want to make one from scratch:nenau
I thought about making a scratch built one myself but I don't think it would be as tidy or as tough with tree branches etc.

Sorry that is not very helpful has anyone got any ideas as to if it fits?

What I meant was that ABS and off roading aren't a good mix. I'll choose when to brake what thank you very much. Well front to back anyway :thumb2

The reason the ABS could be an issue is to get a nice smooth air flow from the snorkel to the air filter, it enters the engine bay at the rear of the Air filter box, coming through the wings right where the ABS unit is.

The other way, is to change the Airfilter box, and come through the wings straight into the end of the filter box, but you need to do a fair bit of modding and filter changing to do that.

The sort you have ordered goes all the way down the wing, and enter in front of the air filter box, which some people feel makes the air have to do a lot more twists and turns to get into the engine, plus, if you have a second battery, there is no room for it to come through.

I have both ABS and a second battery... so have only one option for the snorkel.:(

:(

Coming straight through the wing will reduce the pipe work but how do you attach the pipe to the oval shaped hole in the air box????

I might not use the bendy bottom bit as I might make a few mods

Not sure how others have done it, my original plan was to remove it, and then fit a bigger round tube in at an angle, facing forward and towards the inner wing, so you could use a 135 angle to bring it straight to the wing. Basially, get some 4 inch steel tube, cut slots in the end to feather out the edges, and then using tigerseal and rivets, or my new welder if I felt up to the challenge, fix the new tube on.

Having now pinched that space with the second battery, my preferred plan when I have the funds, is to block off and remove the oval completely, fit a K&N Mushroom air filter in the air filter housing, and go straight into the end of the air filter housing, from the wing, again using a 4 inch tube.

I hope that makes sense.:nenau
