What Apps do people use? Any favourites that you have installed?

Yesterday I installed OS Locate, gives you your OS Grid Ref and is also a compass that is over layed over your camera.

Also got memory map with loads of OS maps installed which is cool.

i use lpg find as out and about i need gas for bottles,it uses google maps and tells me where its at.

Leafly :sly

That's all I'm going to say, makeitfit will get it

Aps

I use the free National Rail one and View Trip for checking holiday flights.

The Barclays Bank app is excellent (but only if you bank there :D)

Flight Radar 24, if you are interested in planes. - I followed my daughter's flight from Mumbai to Heathrow so I knew when to get the airport to pick her up. (Still had to pay an exorbitant parking fee just for the short time I was there :()

UK Tides, if you are interested in when the tides come and go anywhere around the UK.

Hop circle. Guides you to the nearest Nicholson pub and gives you 25p off each pint of real ale. :clap

various plane finder, gives flight code on free versions can then google.

similar ship finder, even down to smallish fishing boats out of seaside harbours.

Here you go, all on a rather old iphone 4S. If I don't use it at least weekly, the app is removed.
- all the normal 'social media' things: linkedin, Facebook, Skype, mail etc
- Google, wikipedia
- google maps, google earth and Sputnik (satellite locations)
- a few weather apps, including a rain radar and satellite image one
- a few news apps, including the BBC news and CNN one
- travel and transport apps (for Belgium): Tmobilis, Railtime, NMBS, STIB mobile, De Lijn mobile, Brussels Airport app
- the app from my phone provider, to manage phone costs and such. Banking app from my bank
- a bird determination app (Vogels van Nederland)
- a sound measurement app (Tuut)

Like the idea of dumping the app if you haven't used it for a while.

I used flight radar freebie to watch the canadian lanc when it came across back in August.

Just added a pole to see which is the most popular type of phone Apple or Android. I still haven't decided which I prefer.
