ok , I got the new car ... first impressions are .... quite a bit of road noise from the tyres ...... bluddie quick for a 1.6 diesel .....and I think the fuel guage is stuck cos it doesn't seem to move :augie...... absolutely detest with a passion the stop start technology ...... but thankfully I worked out how to turn it off :naughty

I hated stop/start when I first got in a car with it. But it is one of them things you will get used to - so i'm told

when I got it , I put £40 of diesel in , took the fuel guage to 3 quarters :naughty....... 286 miles later ...... its between half and a quarter .... Sheila hates it .... says its far too complicated to drive .... its semi automatic ...... in a normal automatic if you are in drive and facing up hill with handbrake off , the car wont move ....... this one will roll backwards unless you apply handbrake ......something ive never ever had to do in years of driving autos .

apparently its a egs gearbox ...... and doesn't have a torque converter
