My neighbour uses a winch, but got a newer winch a couple of years back as her chair was a bit heavy for the previous one.

I was going to try and see if I could make use o it, but I'm 100% certain they'd be happy for me to send it down to you Pete if you get another truck.

I got offered a good deal on a brand new citroen berlingo multispace hdi aero 90 auto diesel .......in metallic blue :naughty ......so ive ordered it  .... just gotta find the advance payment when I pick it up ..... could be next week

They are fantastic motors. Massive boot. Easy to get in and out, nice height. Sliding doors are ace. Loved ours in Mallorca.

nice work peter, they are really nice motors the newer Berlingos.

Deposit Value

Emily has been sold for scrap ( £200 )

OK I know your are not daft but you may have been a bit quick to sell her for scrap at £200 unless it was to avoid towing in charges & recovery / storage.

Even motorbility deposits can be made up from part exchange value and even a scrap non runner can be worth substantially more than £200 you got for the metal.

Dealers have a lot of latitude in making the figures work with a deposit made from trade in value just look at the old scrappage scheme.

hi mate ,

yes I admit I was a bit hasty , but at the time it looked like a good deal on Emily , plus I wasn't exactly in the best of moods , I knew she couldn't be fixed economically .

ok , its a CITROËN BERLINGO MULTISPACE 1.6 e-HDi 90 Airdream VTR 5d ,the mpg figures sound a bit too good to be true  .....55+mpg rising to over 64mpg "extra urban "

Well done Pete, looks like you've got a good deal. I reckon the MPG will be true, the Reno I used to have did that kind of MPG. Hope you bring it round to see me, plenty of space for radio's :thumbs

yeah thatll be right peter, I get between 56 and 62Mpg+ form the Stilo on a run (such as to Norfolk) then a steady 50+ around Norfolk, done it several times now plus trips to Wales, same MPG, so youll certainly get it form that HDI engine PLUS they aren't slow either, not the grunt of the Isuzu but swift enough.

0...62 mph is a astonishing 15 .4 seconds :lol ..... top speed .... 103 mph ......6 speed automatic gearbox

yup, itll probably have a few gadgets and gizmos to play with too

The one we had on holiday averaged mid 40's mpg from new. it had only done about 2000 miles. A/C on all the time. Different driver every week trying to burn off the tank of fuel you've patid for even though you will only use half a tank. :augie
They feel quicker than that. Little rocket ships. Although the 90bhp engine is very under stressed. We also hired a C4 Picasso which was 110bhp. Rapido.
Berlingo sounds the same as the one we had so it should have privacy glass and cruise control which I think is the muts nuts. Radio was basic although I linked my phone up to it with blueooth to play my music through. Or was that the Picasso?

All manufacturers fuel figures are tosh....look at the urban cycle that what you will actually get !

We sell Smart cars at our place and the 70 mpg figures quoted are crazy.
You might get 45 mpg some owners manage as little as 30 mpg !!!!

agreed, plus the figures aren't real world either. Im sure I read that they were based on the test driver not using the clutch etc to get the best economy!?! dunno how true that is but the figures are never to be taken as red.

new car will be ready for collection on Tuesday lunchtime

nice work, things have turned out alright mate, for a change:thumbs does Sheila like it?
