About 10 mins down a country road, didn't see one other car.

I was tempted but thought the rear door being open was enough to show I was carrying something abnormal.

I'd have done exactly the same as you mate, risked it

But there's always some chancer somewhere after a nice little claim for some free money, I hate this country for that.

Alex's dash cam vid really got me riled up the other week, I'd have laid him out cold on the floor if I'd have been on my own, people close to me know how I have a short fuse so usually diffuse stuff like that before I blow luckily

Well it didn't go well!! bender kinks the 47.63mm CDS tubing!! :banghead :banghead

Not sure what to do now, Feel like giving up!

Packing the tube with fine dry sand may help...

No but it started to kink at the top so doubt it would of help, I may try another bend with plenty of looooob.

I may end up buying a proper die and making a bender

to add the cds is marginally about 2mm smaller than the scaffold I used that went perfectly so the die seems too wide :nenau

Did yours do 90 degrees ok?

No 90 was a struggle, I got help for that. I decided I'd need to make a table and or clamping mech to hold my bender as the lever action was so huge we couldn't hang on to it accurately. Blacksmiths bender was just a bigger version of ours but with better former, and hydraulic I got the thicker wall CDS also as it's meant to resist folding better.
I had hoped to send the former off to Bigbunny as he said he'd make one if you remember. Thing is when the time was right for that job we just went for it :lol
I was over 55 without the over clamp though.
I tried the sand thing but that was a pain. You need to block off the ends and get just the right amount in !

The stuff I have is the same wall thickness as yours, Mine isn't too bad to pump the ram is pretty hefty. I think my former is just a few mm too big it seems?

Im thinking of making one of these, Former will be about 300 but think I can make the stand etc for about 150 which includes a air hydro ram:

Problem is he needs something to copy, Unless you want to go halfs on one and then he copies it so we have 2 by the end?

You can get dies capable of doing 180 degree bends for about 320.
