I've just re-read Neddys original post and I'm guessing his gripe isn't with people who don't post but rather with those that do post but "contribute nothing", there is an awful lot of pointless drivel getting posted that has to be waded through to get to the relevant stuff. Fine in a thread thats just general chat but in a tech post or similar it can get a bit tedious.

I'm not suggesting a return to the "stay on topic" police cos that was just as tedious, conversations evolve etc but mindless posts for the seming sake of posting don't do anyone any favours. I for one find myself visiting here less and less.

when i was a mod on the old site it was hard to keep topics on the straight and norrow and we did get a load of stick,

maybe a mod of a few mods can keep a eye on the topics and deal with them in the right way not just lock or delete them with out a good reason and tell those why they did it as that will poss make members think twice and make them look at mods in a better way.

I find it off puuting when I can only find a few new posts out of 20 odd that are relevent, Its nice to chat and joke and I would hate the place to be 'too seriouse' but this not a chat room its is a vehicle forum.

why dont the members who are referring the amount of drivel being posted just come out and name the members who they feel are contributing this drivel.
not all members are technechly minded like other members, but they contribute in other ways. so dont be shy and hide behind your key board come out and say what you mean. dont forget if you see the person has posted you dont have to read it.--- fgs

1, It was not my 1st post, I was stating that my own posts are always relating to topic.
Not drivel or whining statements.

2, Sounds like political correctness has reached the Nissan club.
If I was going to leave the club, I would just leave.
Not stick a pathetic in uninform whinge about how this site sucks (whatever that means.) and after about 25 concerned posts decide to stick another post still not giving any specifics to why it's so bad.

3, I don't think I have answered any posts relating to "Neddy" till now.

You quite blantantly don'y know or have met Neddy then, as you couldn't be further from the truth. - can we keep the personal jibes out of the public forum please.

Just reading through this thread as I haven't been on since Friday (mainly to the the drivel documented above) I can't belive the crap being thown around.

There is a serious trend here, long term members (myself excluded as i only joined late last year) getting hacked off at the site.

i used to check 2-3 times a day and read every post - lately i'm lucky if i am on every day and even then i tend to skim though the shit and only read about 10% of the posts.

Your right, I don't know Neddy, but I know the type.
I havn't been a long term member on here, but I have been a member of other 4x4 sites for a long period.
So i know the score, I admit I do like to light the blue touch paper on occasion.
But sometimes common sense has to overcome diplomacy.

I think the time is now...

If you believe that some people are answering posts just to say something and not give any decent replies to specific answers to questions then ok, that was one of my main annoying things that bugged me on Isuzu trooper owners club,

But if thats the case then stick it on this forum under a new thread.

Lets not bend over and play poor little neddies game.
