Seems like Photobucket is going down the tubes or something ? I've not been able to access my account for days, and on the odd occasion I have managed to get in , nothing seems to work
Any of you compuliterate types got any insight to the situation ? Anyway I can recover many 1000s of pics ?
IF I can get access again is there a way to download the lot back again ?
Thankyouplease :augie

Hmph, can you do me a favour and click my link  oo er missus
See if my stuff is there ??

Hi Pete, I just clicked on your little linky. Nothing happens mate, it just doesn't work what can I say:eek:

Yeah, summat like that mate. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I'm on another forum and they're having photobucket issues, as was Banshee.

No Pete it does not work for me, spends ages loading then when it stops no pics, Rick

That's what I feared .
Ah well my old "how to " threads will be a bit naff now :lol

I have never used the likes of photobucket or indeed any recovery programs as I prefer to be in control, I make backups to memory sticks so if my lappy goes awol I just get a new one and load from the sticks, photobucket can die as far as I am concerned, Rick

I can see everything when I click Pete's link now :nenau

Maybe service has been restored

Nope, can't see a bloomin' thing. Just keeps ticking with a blank screen.

Sorry bloke.

:(

This recent Photobucket malarky has really had me worried and I wanted a way of going in and bulk downloading everything I've ever uploaded just in case SHTF

If worst did come to worst I back up my phone every 12 months onto an external HDD so if I was really that desperate for the pictures back I could go back through them.

Better still though, I've found a beautiful little add-in for Google Chrome called Photobucket Album Donwloader Unlimit

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...ownloa/jmpbbfglflhdhbmimlcacoojpkeopelc?hl=en

For the hefty sum of £1.29 I can go into my albums and just hit a button that says "Download" and voila, I have all of my photos in a few mins time inside a .zip and they are the original resolution too :thumb2

You can try the free version here like I did and I tested it on a few of Pete's albums and it worked well, might nick the lot :naughty :naughty

Hold up!

Belay that, it's been ticking over for ten minutes now with a blank screen, it's suddenly brought up all your pics!

Good news!

Do you not keep a backup of your data? I'd have thought your experience in I.T. would have taught you that. I have a seperate hard drive that I regularly back up to.

Top find Banshee. If I cant get it this end you can do it for me :thumbs

:nenau :nenau

That's what I said, only do my phone pics every 12 months but HDD backup on the laptop is weekly, all stored in a fireproof safe :thumbs

Anyone else got an email from photobucket saying they have now temporarily locked their account and demanding $400 to go onto a plan that allows 3rd party hosting?

I have just received it, and now can't get to any of my pictures. Looked on Twitter and loads of people are incredulous to what they have done.

No news stories via Google, I'd say a scam. I'm pretty sure that they couldn't do that legally and commercially it'd be suicide as there are better hosting platforms out there for free.
