After my bumper catching quite a bit yesterday I decided it was time for the terrano to trim up that big rear end.
Wanted to keep some of the shape so I cut the corners off what was left of the bumper and gave them a good trim until I was happy with what was left.
My plan now is to make a steel frame out of some box section I have got and cap the ends of flush with the back of the truck.
Work in progress pic.

That's it... Let it begin :naughty

Had an hour after my tea making the blanking plate for the rear end.
Liberated some 3mm tread plate from the scrap skip at work and got to work.
Next question is do I use the standard rear lights or fit something in the body under the brake lights????

Looking good matey.
It's therapeutic when you want to do it not when you have to :thumb2

:eek: TBH I don't think I would have cut the bumper as high up as you have prob to the bottom of the chassis:rolleyes: but i'm sure it'll look good once you have finished:thumb2 are you fitting a bondage rail so you can join Alex's club:lol:naughty

humph ..... another thread with a promising title ..... let down again :augie

Wow easy now chaps, we all know my bumpers are the daddy  :naughty

Or do what Adz did and remove the whole lot at the rear. looked good too!!

A bit of both really. That big chunk of plastic is just cosmetic in my eyes.
Caught it a few times while out and broke all the mounting clips so it was only held on by 2 screws and the rubber spats on the arches.
Was flapping and flopping about all Sunday :lol
Not to everyone's taste I see but that's what makes us and our trucks unique in our eyes.
No plans to fit bondage bars briggie, sorry.
The plan is to go full steel when I have got more time to do it properly.

Looks good on a swb but too much over hang on the lwb to leave exposed in my opinion.

Fitted some new rear lights in the body and painted and fitted the blanking plate.
This just a temporary fix while I work on a heavy duty steel bumper.

Yeah I like that Elty :thumb2

Give that lower bar a clean up and paint too :thumb2

that was the plan yesterday but the weather turned in the afternoon and I developed a running issue which needed sorting so it was put on hold.

Reverse lights fitted and caged to stop them from getting damaged, also as they are from a landrover it will stop them getting lost when they fall off when I drive through a pothole :lol
Just the tail pipe to move up out of harms way.
