I've spent enough on this engine unfortunately and im not prepared to pay any more. So if any one with a 2.8 needs a good injection pump or anything else let me know.

Its just bad timing after spending all that, but on the other hand I've been waiting for it for a few years now. Never been completely happy with this engine, ever...

The engine still runs absolutely fine, no probs at all but for how long...The evidence is there.

I want to take it off road and give it a ruddy good thrashing to make me feel better :lol

I've thought so very long and hard about it and if I put the same engine in I might have similar problems, and parts for this truck are so very hard to come by. Even looking on ebay you can import things from Aus for the 3 litre but not much for 2.8. Skyline engine parts are plentiful.

I just need a few bits for it though like a throttle pedal with cable assembly as wont work with fly by wire. Does anyone know of a y60 breaking or even beter a 4.5 petrol?

Skytrol sounds exciting with sounds to match.

Its not going to cost that much more than putting a 2.8 back in, just certain things I need to find to put it all together

A friend of mine highlighted a patriot alloy roofrack for sale on eBay coming of a lwb patrol quite close by so I pounced on it. I arrived to pick it up and first thing I thought was I know that truck. Daemo's old patrol lol.

I ended up getting the roofrack, rear ladder and the security window guards :lol

The security guards matched the inside colour nicely but I wanted them black on outside so I painted one half which was a bit of a pain but not too bad
