To Dampen the steering? :nenau

I'll let you know if it takes the wobble out of the wheels when I get it up to motorway speeds at the weekend!

I'm off to North Yorkshire for the Northern Shooting Show! :D

It worked on my 35's :thumb2

This morning I changed the Oil and Filter in the old girl... Decided while I was there to do a little mod on the Catch Can.

I was sick of it filling up so fast... The Provent has the smallest reservoir only made a little better by the short run of pipe I had going to a drain valve!

I decided that I wanted to lengthen the drain pipe into something clearish so that I could see how much oil had been caught and something that was easy to empty...

The nasty nasty stuff mine catches is horrible, can't believe I've been feeding that back into the engine

I got a damper on my Patrol, must have run out of oil cos it does not work, but I have never felt the need for it, Rick

That'll do it! :lol

It's an extension of the tiny catch can reservoir... It's also easier to empty.

I'm pleased to report that the Catch Can extension has been working a treat!

The picture shows how much oil was 'caught' after just 400 miles. (One tank of fuel)

I still find it amazing how much oil is mixed in with the air! This is brand new oil too... I did a full oil & filter change at the same time as I fitted this new Catch Can arrangement.

As a bonus, I now don't get loads of oil seeping thru the silicone hoses going to and from the Catch Can! :doh

I like this, would love to do a catch can on my 3 litre Terrano but to be honest I don’t have a clue where to start.

Wow, that's a lot of oil for 1 tank of fuel, do you use much oil generally

It's not terribly hard Jim...

I suppose the hardest bit is finding the room for it! :doh

I guess that I do! :lol:lol

Previous to the oil change, it's level was really low when I checked it.

Still tho... A huge amount of oil came out when I drained it out, missing my tub all over the driveway! :doh

It had done around 6,000 miles since it's last oil change... My bad tho, I didn't check it's level even once in that time! :doh

Now that I can physically see how much oil is coming out, it will remind me to check on it incrementally!
