Evening Dadba, i would say my Patrol is as wide as yours with the spacers on and the last time we did this route i had no problems. Some of the lanes near the power staition and Ranby prison were bit muddy and blumin good fun. Gordon.

Evening BigG. :smile: Am sure everything will be ok. Its a challenge that I actually enjoy when/if I get stuck but causing damage to other peoples property isnt fun at all. Thats my main concern. Am not worried about the route its just something I now have to be more aware of in future. POINTLESS NARROW LANES WITH POINTLESS DRY STONE WALLS !!!!! :evil:

sorry to see you wont be joining us this time big g.my daughter keeps asking me when we are bumpy bumpy driving again and if she can watch the video from the derbyshire lanes day we did.bought her a pedal go cart for her birthday last week,trouble is she wants to bring it next time we are laning 8O

HI JUST GOT BACK FROM A ROUTE PLANNING EXCERSIZE.
SOME OF THE LANES ARE TO WET/RUTTED FOR THE TERRANO TO COPE WITH DUE TO TRACTORS AND TRAILORS FILLING THE RUTS IN :?
LEFT MORE THAN THEY CURED :?
DROVE SHEILA MAD RE PLANNING ROUTE TO GET AROUND THEM.
AND IT DIDNT HELP THAT HER PIECE OF PAPER SHE WAS KEEPING HER NOTES ON BLEW OUT OF THE WINDOW. SHEILA EVENTUALY CAUGHT UP WITH IT AGAIN IN SOME ONES DRIVEWAY
SNAGGED A MUD FLAP ON ONE LANE .GOT TO THE END AND IT WAS HANGING OFF ,SO OUT WITH THE KNIFE.

HOPEFULLY GET REST OF THE ROUTE DONE READY FOR BIG G TO DO A TEST RUN.
ONE LANE DOES HAVE A LOT OF SOFT SUMMER GROATH SO YOU MAY GET A FEW SCUFFS TO POLISH OUT ,ALTHOUGH A TERRANO WILL PASS A BIT EASY`R DUE TO BEING A BIT NARROWER

DUE TO TIME AND MILAGE CONSTRAINTS THERE MAY NOT BE ENOUGH TIME TO DO THE RAILWAY SECTION , IF WE ARE TO DO THE SOUTH NOTTS LANES.
SO WILL HAVE TO DECIDE ON ONE OR THE OTHER.
EXPECT TO DO AROUND 65 MILES IN THE DAY.

not everyday you get to meet some x pro boxers so hope you enjoy it.just hope its not as hot as today as the kids dont cope with the heat very well after a while(best bring some sick bags )see you soon on another outing.

depending on how many times you get lost 17.00 ok.
is your truck averse to scratches?
just got back from driving the south notts lanes.
one is way to wet and rutted tractor has been up today and cut the green lane grass so now i can see the pot holes ,there is some good ones.
another lane has a lot of summer groath so a few scratches there .OR a detore will let you miss that one out.
another lane had a tree branch on it moved it to one side and squeezed through .chain saw and rope will cure that .
may do part of the afternoon route as a nav ex just for the hell of it.

Evening, Ian and me had a cracking day, the weather could not make its mind up what it wanted to do but the lanes made up for it. The last time i did lanes it was alot muddier is places and today in places it was like driving through vegitation in the jungle which was new to me very enjoyable. Our trucks didn't get scrached cos it was mainly wet leaves. We came to a cross roads on a lane(can't remember which) and Ian said we will go straight on and you go left, as i set off i looked at Ian & Shiela and they wer laughing but i didn't think much about it at the time untill Ian said over the cb have you got to the muddy part yet and within 20 yards i hit it, there wer holes 4ft deep filled with mud and allsorts, i was going down it sideways at one point and my son was pooing him self. I thought i have to just keep going and sure enough i did manage to get to the end, what a lane. Who ever goes will really enjoy the days laning. I won't say where we finnished so get yor names down if you havn't allready. Gordon.
