Looking good and obviously you've got it running properly again.

Well done :clap:clap:clap:clap

That looks epic!!!!! Sort the spare wheel out and the low hanging tow bar and that will be awesome best old shaped LWB T2 I reckon :naughty

you've put the steering wheel on the wrong side :augie:lol

No..no.noo... YOU have put the steering wheel on the wrong side.. We have it in the right side! :naughty How can you even drive from the wrong side? :nenau:D (Ok, I have been once in UK and driven RHD cars and you I got used to it in 15minutes)

Is there available some kind of cheap cable and software for this kind of data link connector? I would like to read the codes with an computer if any problems occur in the future. Ebay links are welcome :thumb2

This is how my connector looks like

Not sure how much success people have had with a computer reading the codes. However there's great little trick with a paper clip in the downloads section if it's any use to you:thumbs

Quality of the pictures aint that good but I was testing my lights. The bulbs are old so new bulbs would be a good update. Anyway here are the pics:

First with original low beam

Then low beam with new aftermarket fog lights

After that high beam with additional fog lights

Finally high beam + additional fog lights + additional Hella spot lights

I can tell you that is it possible to cope with original lights but oh boy, those additional fog + spot lights give you so much more output that there is no going back.

Those extra lights make the difference don't they.

Have you tried night breaker bulbs in your headlamps? Made a big difference to mine, I hate those hid conversions but these night breakers seem a great upgrade. Next for me will be an LED light bar on the roof:thumbs

I don't know where I got this old Russian army box but anyway I thought that it would be a good toolbox so I mounted it to my Terrano. Filled it with some spare tools which I own so maybe I can do some small repairs on the road if needed.

I didn't have enough money/motivation to buy and install an electric winch so I have a manually operated winch always with me. You can see that also behind the box. Its very old and strong. Made in Finland :)

I bought spare wheel cover from Ebay. It came yesterday and I installed it. Now its a bit cleaner from behind.

What a great thread/project. You have done a brilliant job with this and it looks brilliant now:thumb2:D

Not a fan of the wheel cover bro!!!! Would def look super sexy with another green on the back and a chunky tyre :naughty

Going back to a few posts ago, the Data Link Connector under your dash is called a Consult port, proprietary Nissan connection, lucky for you you have the 14 Pin Consult I port which can be hooked up to a free piece of software installed on a laptop called ECUTalk, can be downloaded from here;

http://www.ecutalk.com/ecutalk.aspx

Then get one of these;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/14-Pin-US...234554?hash=item3f4dbdf5fa:g:yigAAOSwl8NVVKUl

Plug it in and off you go

ABS failure light keeps on when I start the engine. How to search where the problem is? Might be some sensor or pump? Can you read also ABS codes from the consult port or is it only for engine fault codes?

Common fault is the front sensor wire, it breaks down over time.
All the terrano's I've owned with abs have developed this fault.
Easily repaired with a length of new wire and a soldering iron.

My front passengerside which in our case is left seems to break and as said replace the wires. Although last year had a problem which turned out to be a rear which had a leaking axle seal some the sensor was bathed in oil.

Ok. But there is no way to use the diagnostics socket for ABS faults? For example check all wheel/sensor rotation speeds? It would be easy to discover the sensor problem.

I connected the consult cable to my Terrano and I got one trouble code "Code 97 MIL: (0 starts)". What is that?

Anybody? I tested with ECUTALK that I get speed information from the car when Im driving. But still the ABS light doesnt turn off..

Does the code match anything in the code reading how to guide or is it in the manual download?
