Something new today... Got my tyres set on wheels. I didn't want those white letters outside because I think they are a bit gay? :nenau:lol

So this is how they look like :)

Today after work I also installed rear bumber and spare wheel back on + jerry can :D

Made my own design intercooler spacers :D

Sent the drawing to my friend who maybe can fabricate these with a lathe.

Outstanding work, we have some real skilled members on here and I doff my cap to you all!!! So much so that you got me out into the garage last night painting parts :kissy

If you've still got the intercooler off matey, whip the oil breather pipe and canister off and give it a clean it looks well gunked up :thumb2

Spent a couple of hours today in the garage... and assembled the roof rack which I bought from UK Ebay. It was advertised as aluminium lightweight rack... well it was partly aluminium but when I opened the package I found out that the corners were made from plastic. I wasn't so happy about that but decided to install it anyway. As I said earlier I don't like any shiny/chrome parts so powder coated it to wrinkle black. Today I assembled it and installed it to my Terrano. I wasn't so convinced of the rigidity but with few small modifications it became decent. I think it can handle maybe 50kg-60kg of load if it is evenly distributed.

Weekends... and what an intense day today was for me. :) I'm really trying to finish this car so that I can start using it.

I installed LED work lights and mounted them to the roof rack. One on both sides an one in rear. Not much but I have had those laying around many years. Wiring took basically a full day. I hate wiring :doh

Here are the switches being installed

I also installed this baby... :kissy

And this... :D

Looking good, those work lights look like the ones I bought from Milners which I mounted above the tailgate. Mine were wired temporarily into the reverse lights, never do anything temporarily as it turns into permanent :lol

Have you used relays for your work lights?

My original idea was to fit a second battery and feed the rear work lights from that and use a relay for a feed from reverse lights and also a switch in the boot.

Thanks! I didn't use relays because they are only 15W/piece so the switch can handle them easily.

Got the intercooler spacers today.. and oh boys they fit perfectly! :kissy There is an internal and an external thread. They are bolt on. :D:thumb2

I'm still waiting for silicone hoses to arrive..

Today I also changed all belts + water pump + thermostat.

I also started changing the outer CV boot... what a nightmare :clap

I will carry on this monolog..

New belts, waterpump and thermostat installed

Ordered these spacers.. lets see how they work.

Painted intercooler spacers in black

Longer siliconehoses from ASH came today so I installed intercooler back on

Cooling system temperature sensor for dash gave me a really headache because the thread had been damaged in the past and there was a helicoil M10x1 thread. Orginal thread is M10x1.25 for original sensor. I wanted to get rid of the additional temperature gauge which somebody had installed because you cannot get original temperature gauge working with aftermarket sensor.

So I had to design and manufacture an adapter for fitting the original M12x1.25 sensor to a M10x1 helicoil thread. :doh

Here is the finished product...

I haven't yet added coolant or started the engine so I dont know if it works or not..

I have also changed engine oil and rear diff oil. The car is soon ready.. or at least I hope so.

And Banshee.. I cleaned the part which you told me earlier :kissy

Good man :thumb2

I didn't see the need in raising the inter cooler after the body lift as the rubber seal on the bonnet still reaches the top of mine and provides a good seal still

It's alive! :D

Today started the engine. There is one small thing which makes me think if its a problem or not. I haven't yet test driven it. When the engine is in idle and I press fast throttle the engine cuts/coughs.

Maybe tomorrow I can do a test drive and we shall see how it works.

Anyway today I changed all new bulbs to the dash. Somehow oil pressure light does not come on when starting the engine. Maybe the sensor is broken or something?

I also gave a full cleaning to the interior. :)
