Good luck with your new project, you must of been very disappointed with your old truck. Onwards and upwards enjoy your new truck.

I know what you think. I made a lot of work for that first Terrano but that was just the beginning.. there was so much work left to do with that.

I found this "new" one by a mistake. I wen't to see if it's as rusty as the seller said and indeed.. it was pretty rust free after all. Funniest thing was that it is the same color than the other one. :thumbs

Now I have stripped it and lifting the body by 2" :) Here is the work in progress:

Fair play mate that looks well tidy!!! Really clean and no rot
Why don't you under protect it while you have all that off? Will prolong it for a long time :nenau

Yes I will clean all those potential rust spots and give it a good coat of under protection.

Yesterday I pushed myself again to limits with rust repairs and decided to fix all the rotten spots in the body. I'm not proud of the quality but at least its now done and it will take many years until I have to do it all again.. or at least I hope so :) Only thing I have to weld anymore is the bumpers because there is a bit rust in the front and they have to be modified because of the body lift.

Left rear wheel cover was rotten so that was done

Front left wheel cover had also something so that was repaired

Then was the front right body corner

And also the left side wing was a bit rotten so I did that too. Quality is horrible but I will paint it and it will be left under the orig. wheel arch cover so no problem.

Painted all the repaired spots

Sprayed under protection

Changed the new started which came from Germany

Fitted the snorkel

Took the wheels out to a paint shop

Today I started my day by modifying the front bumper mounting brackets. It was quite easy job to do after all.

Then I test fitted the bumper.. and it looks like a Terrano again! :D

Today I also picked up the alloys... And the color is quite different what I expected.

I decided also get rid of the front pull bar and install some more lights :)

Last job of the day was to paint some parts...

Wheels look spot on :thumb2
Same colour as I did the alloys on the Mrs terios.

No plans for a snorkel any time soon then as you've brought a K&N :(

But bloody nice box of presents bro :naughty

I dont understand what you are trying to tell me? Is there a problem with snorkel and k&n?

I thought the K&N replacement was a cone and not a cylindrical air box filter so you'd have to do away with the air box meaning nothing to connect the Snorkel too :nenau

Aaa.. ok! :D

The K&N replacement filter is original size... :thumb2

So I got my new shiney Kumho 31x10.5R15 tyres :D My friend bought them from Russia as he lives near by the border. I love these :kissy I decided to choose 31" because with 32" you get too many problems (been there done that).

Today was a nice day to stay in garage :D

I modified the rear bumper brackets and painted them.. no picture sorry.

I also wanted to fit a full size jerry can somewhere in the vehicle and I bought a holder for it. I didn't find any other place which would be smart than the rear door. But there was a problem that even with stock spare tyre the jerry there was not enough room.

So I decided to modify the spare tyre holder and move the tyre a bit left and up.

Here is the modifed tyre holder already painted

Here I was working on rear and trying to fit them all nicely. And I love the result :thumbs :kissy

Painted it

Despite my previous plans removing the front bull bar I decided to have it anyway :D So I made brackets for it, mounted it and added also mounting brackets for the lights.. That bull bar won't be left like that, I will paint it cos I hate chrome parts

The last job of the day was to find out what I need to do for the intercooler because my body lift. I already ordered longer silicone hoses and I will also have to make spacers for the intercooler... any recommendations?
