Had to cut out my arches in a similar fashion.
Also cut the old rusty floor out, just waiting for my new one to be cut and folded at work.

I have read your project. I decided not to cut the whole rear floor because it can still be repaired. I think that these project topics bumps motivation up :thumb2

Made this kind of body mount points to the rear. I'm not sure yet if they are left like that.

I covered roof and all the windows from inside because I will weld the floor from the upside.

It is strange why the rear left side inner wheel arch is in very nice condition

But right side is very bad

Made my first patch to the floor. This is in the rear right corner. First I removed some of the sound proofing and then marked where I will cut.

There you can see also the rotten piece.

Made the new patch and started welding

This is the best I can do... :nenau

Im loving this thread, keep it going you are doing some great repairs.

Thanks. You keep me going... :kissy

This just makes me so sad and depressed.. :( This is how I ended my day few minutes ago.. :duno:

Makes me feel better about mine when I see its not just me with a rotten motor. Some nice repair work going on there tate :thumb2

I wanted something what big boys have in their offroad vehicles.. :D

Is it a Chinese snorkel??? I absolutely love that packaging, I laughed ALOT... looks real good though...
where did you buy that??

I was told that the snorkel might need some modifications because it is for Nissan Navara D22 but they sell it also for Terrano II. I haven't yet tried to fit it so I don't know how much work there is. I ordered it from Spain http://www.snorkels.es/

I also laughed when I saw the package :lol Actually I'm pretty impressed about the quality. The seller said that this is a cheaper chinese version and the quality is not that good but it is good enough for me. Maybe it will break during winter or under UV radiation but we shall see how it takes all what Finland has to offer :)

Something small done again.. it's just so hard to go to the garage after a full day of work.

You are making such a good job and taking care. Not just putting a patch over you are drilling spot welds and cutting all the rot out.
:clap:clap:clap:clap

There's a lot of us in here who are impressed with what you are doing. I get proud of myself when I decide to do my own track rods.

I'm hugely impressed by you taking on a project of this scale.

Keep it up.

When he said he wanted something that "the big boys " have on their trucks I thought he was on about the rust you old boys are constantly battling.

:lol
