Hi Everyone,
we currently own a R reg 2.7 Maverick, well i say we, it belongs to the wife, and we bought it aprrox 3 years as a cheap stop gap between TATA's but we still have it and it is going strong. As everyone says the only down side is the MPG.... too old to think in litres....
she has not let us down but has now developed a small clutch leak,
we have found the leak and it is on the cluch hose connecting box, where you have the flexible hose, and the cluch pipe, and there is a third hole which has a bolt with what looks like a crimped end ... it is this bit that is leaking,
does anyone know what it is called, where i can get another one from, and am i correct in assuming that it can be removed

Hi, welcome

Cluch leak, sounds like the damper pipe.

Some.one with more brains will be along soon.

Pwy the tenner, youll save so much! !!

If in doubt try Milners at Matlock. They have most things and may be near you. David.
Also Welcome to the forum. :thumb2

Welcome aboard, yeah the clutch damper pipe goes from the block on the flexi hose right to just above the back axle.
A lot of people have various methods to do away with the damper pipe. There's stacks of threads on the members area regarding this.

Welcome bud :D Sure you'll get her fixed, the Terrano lads on here will sort you out :thumbs

yes the pipe with the crimped end used to go to the rear, god knows what it was for, don't think even Nissan knew, the best way of sorting it is a small ball bearing in before the pipe union, crimping unless welding or soldering is rarely successful, Rick

Welcome:thumb2 TBH the MPG is really good compared to other 4x4's built at the same time which are in the low 20's or under:augie but the Maverick/Terrano is quicker & has better road holding:D

thanks again,
i have never driven an auto before, and i dont get many chances to drive the mav, as my wife loves it. we have owned a number of 4x4 and she thinks it is on a par with the tata she had for a number of years. for load space ( for the dogs and booting )...... me i have to make do with an aging astra and up until last week an xj600 div.
