Ive seen speedo masks on ebay to convert from kmh to mph, if it's had that done is it a crap conversion mask.

Is it possible to get a cheap inline filter to by pass the main fuel filter and housing. Or just get a filter housing from a breakers yard.

Everything else will gradually get sorted out bit by bit and you'll have a nice truck.

Solarman, that sounds likle a really good idea - will give that a go and see what;s what. It's not a disaster, now I know it does it - just need to leave it running for 5 mins before I need to use it but it;s not ideal.

Banshee, it's on the older normal dials and I guess cable-driven, so I'll see if I can find one from a breaker and see if that is any better. Like I say, it seems to have different sized numbers and is blue while the rest is white so I'm guessing it's from something else.

Oh, and the rear wiper seems to have a mind of its own - the PO removed the wiper arm as the motors sometimes runs constantly and sometimes, not at all. Will try the relay under the motor at the front to see if it's wet and if not, I saw someone on here mentioned it might be the park position of the motor FUBAR...

Good job I like tinkering...

Jim,

Both very good points - might be worth trying a cheap in-line first to see if that has any effect...

Also fair one on the speedo - again, will try to whip the dials out to see if it's a rubbish mask.

Thanks again all - best £10 I'll ever spend on it...

Jim

Totally agree about the £10

If you want I have some photos on my laptop that I took when I adjusted my wheel bearings. Let me know and I'll try and upload on to here for you.

Cool - I'll take all the help I can right now...

Did you get your broken wing bolt out in the end? Just wandering around the forums...

J

Relay in engine bay is only for front wiper, rear one varies from in the rear door to passenger footwell, inline filter is OK but you still need a means of priming and if it is the primer pump giving the trouble you are no better off, electric is the way to go, Rick
