sounds dear to me, show me a pic of the gas bottle you intend to use and I am sure I will have reg you can have for a fiver plus postage, Rick

bloke said thts including deposit on bottle :nenau

I have not paid deposit on a bottle in years, you get a bottle and try and get your deposit back, no way they then change their tune and say there is no deposit, Rick

i think the deposit is because i dont have an empty bottle to give back for full bottle i dunno how all this stuff works yet lol

the only advantage to genuine 'calor' is they can be refilled anywhere!
But they come at a hight price.

Get two small ones from a builders merchant, no deposit and the gas is cheaper.

If you must go Calor i can sell you a pair of calor 6k, one full one half full, for £30 and i'll throw in a new regulator :thumb2

found the two 6k bottles and regulator they are ready when you are :thumb2

Try your local re-cycling centre, they may just give you a cylinder for a 'fiver ' if the gaffer is not looking, some even have a regulator attached.

unless they are calor or camping gaz, an empty cylinder is just scrap. As everyone else give them away free :thumb2

BOC also charge deposits etc. but i sometimes think they don't even like filling their own cylinders :doh

I've got a couple of 12kg ones (i think) sitting in France but I want to turn them into woodburners when I get the time :)

found a place that sells 18kg bottles for £31 but they to big to go in the space thats for the bottles lol

that is the problem, and you can only exhchange them at the same place, where as calor you can fill anywhere.

Imagine not knowing if you have quite enough gas for a weekend away, are you going to get another and lug two huge bottles around and them bring the empty home?

Most (almost all) caravan sites stock calor, so with two small bottles when one is empty you just change to the other and then get a refill at your leisure. The camping and caravaning club changed there rules recently - large bottles standing outside caravans are no longer permitted :(

they have you over a barrel :doh

I have two small calor in the front of mine for use when touring. When it is on my own land i stand a 19k out the front :thumb2
