I know, I've been in my back door trying to mod it for fuel tanks and hi-lift jack etc. Damn bkts everywhere :doh

Nissan did a good job, you can imagine the G forces on that door with a wheel on that stand out bracket going over a large lump in the road, don't help us modifiers though does it, Rick

Well, you could always turn it into storage space like I did, there's a thread here somewhere

did on my last one, it was where I kept all my shackles, but fans in side were far too noisy so this is a better option, Rick

Don't like having recovery gear in the back incase I get stuckdown a hole against a tree or cant open door .So reachable from the front fo me. Weight kept low so under my seats :thumb2
Shackles on the passenger grab rail , strops under seat and then the rest of the stuff in the back

You don't have to be mad but it don't half help:lol

Interesting project there Rick, wish I lived a bit closer to come and have a good look:thumbs

pipes under rear seats, a passenger safety box will be mounted over the rubber joints the white pipes are steel the others are copper I would have silver soldered them but could not do it in situ reliably, and it made them too long to feed in if I did it on the bench

how do they go into the engine bay? , it there not a lot of pipe bends?

Whoops, when welding outside top bar some molten metal must have rolled down and set fire to the wing trim, I was thinking of taking em off anyway before they got torn of a Slindon, lucky I had co2 extinguisher handy
