I must admit, having had the problem of trying to get "Tiny" screws a few times over the last little while, when ever I am about to throw away some cheap plastic thing, I take the screws out of it and put them in a Jar... there is still never the right size in there when I want one though...:lol

Last time I wanted a small one like you describe, I went to the Poundshop and went round looking at the childrens toys, and stuff like that, looking for anything with small screws in, in my case the ones that held the battery box shut was ideal, and bought one of those as a donor..

I've bit the bullet and brought one and two blades just in case the first one gets messed up when cutting, I can always hold on to it as a spare or one of you guys may want it etc etc

£10, not too bad really for a Flip Key Conversion
Only thing is my gay original Maverick key doesn't have the remote control built onto it and neither does my other key which looks aftermarket anyway

So, now I need to hunt down a cheap one of these for the internal gubbins and then pair it to my ECU;

It is quite a fiddly job first time.
Be careful with the screws first of all. They are very soft. Need the precision srewdrivers. 99p at B&M bargains. They can also be used to punch out the pin in the flip. (well that's what the key cutter man used on mine).
The bit that I found really tricky was fitting the battery. There is a little clip type contact in the original fob that makes contact with both sides of the battery- prongs underneath and prongs on top - battery must go inbetween. Anyway pulling that clip out from the original fob and refitting to the new wasn't easy. You may do better than me!
Next tip is the transponder, it sits in a red moulded case that is a tight fit to the original key, screwdriver will flick it out. It is tight but it will pop out.
Then using the smallest screwdriver the transponder can be prized out of the Red case.
Transponder needs to be very close to the edge of the key or it won't work. It will press in nice and tight in the channel nearer to the middle of the key not the wider one on the outside edge. I tried it there first but it started to rattle around and dislodged itself = no start.
It can be confusing loading the tension on the spring. Just remember which way one of the halves is turning when you first unscrew the body. On reassembly I found that 1 + 1/2 turns was about right. If the key doesn't flip out, then most likely the spring has been loaded the wrong way.

It's a pin. Tap it out with a hammer and one of the precision screwdrivers, Or use a punch. If you look at the blade you will be replacing it with, it will have a slot at the top. This is where the pin goes.

The 2nd one. :doh I'm not 100% sure but I don't think yours is NATS2

It's official......... I'm part of the crew

I butchered this one for the transponder and blade;

Then with a little help from my buddy and his workshop we filed a hole in the blade and shaped it for the holder

Then glued the transponder in

Filed down the original blade, literally took minutes

The 2 blades I brought from eBay I'm considering sending back lol, don't need them

Thats the one i'm bidding on, It doesn't matter if it's NATS 1 or 2 as the remote control module literally just pops the doors open, it's the transponder that makes it NATS1 or 2 I think, which doesn't matter to me anyway as I won't need the transponder :thumb2

Mine is a Siemens, 433mhz. It's just a radio so technically any 433mhz transmitter should pop the doors. Hope it works for ya

These are 418mhz? 433mhz is not compatible. Will the insides not fit into the flip? The Red & Black buttons look to be in a similar position to the flip's pad
